Brent Meikle
Brent received his BS in Accounting from Utah State University and his MBA from the University of Utah. He earned his CPA shortly after graduating from Utah State University. He has over 30 years of business experience as an owner and part owner of businesses ranging from manufacturing and international sales of heavy equipment, internet based technology, interstate trucking, business consulting, and residential real-estate development.
Brent was one of three founders of Browz.com. an internet based business software company that was awarded US patents for its unique scripting language, allowing for rapid application development. This company evolved to become the provider of an online risk management service for large corporations and government entities in the international market. During the startup years of this company, Brent helped create the unique business concept that set it apart in its market. He served as CFO and a member of the Board of Directors until it was sold to a group of investors. This company currently sells its services globally and has become the leader in its industry.
Brent is a past SBDC Director at the Davis Applied Technology College Entrepreneurial Center serving Davis and Morgan counties in Utah. He currently donates an afternoon each week to this organization, helping business owners start and grow their businesses.
Brent owns and operates a consulting company called Launch2Exit that specializes in business startup, business development, turnaround consulting, growth planning and management, and exit strategies. Brent is one of the three founders and members of RiskPoint Zone LLC.
Randy Hunt
Randy is a founding partner of RiskPoint Zone. He brings over 35 years’ experience in several functional areas of business. He has held management and ownership positions in both public and private companies, with experience in business development, strategic account management, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, sales and marketing, strategic planning, exit and succession strategies, and leadership/management development. Randy received his BS degree with honors from Utah State University.
He is a co-founder and former co-owner of the successful airline Morris Air, which was sold to Southwest Airlines. It was Morris Air that introduced “e-ticketing” to the entire airline industry. As a former owner and executive officer overseeing corporate and incentive clients, he also assisted Utah-based Morris Travel and Morris Meetings & Incentives in growing from $13M to over $160M in sales between 1983 and 1995. Morris was also successfully sold. The combined revenues of both Morris companies exceeded $350M.
In 2011, Randy formed a joint venture with New York – based McVeigh Associates, which ranks in the top 15 Meeting and Incentive companies in North America. Now a division of McVeigh Associates, McVeigh Performance Group (MPG) focuses primarily on corporate incentive and motivation programs, and their fulfillment using travel, merchandise, and gift cards. Profitable in its second year of business, McVeigh Performance Group continues to grow and flourish.
Most recently, Hunt assisted a dynamic business advisory firm in tripling the size of its consulting client base and bringing in new corporate partner sponsors for a series of high level business summits held in Jackson Hole, WY. Randy also maintains business development and business acceleration engagements with several organizations.
During his 35+ year career, Randy has been active on several civic and charity boards, with much of his time spent with youth organizations such as Salt Lake Boys & Girls Clubs, Junior Achievement, Prevention of Child Abuse, and the Boys Scouts of America. He currently serves on the board of directors for Make-A-Wish of Utah where he is a past Board Chair. He is a 33 year resident of Farmington, Utah, where he and his wife Bonnie have raised five children, and are now enjoying their 13 grandchildren. Randy enjoys spending time with his family, meeting unique people around the world, golfing, fly-fishing, and riding his ATV in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains near his home.
Matthew Meikle
Matthew has 15 years of global business experience, specializing in operations, marketing and strategy in both Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial environments. Following a BA in Finance from the University of Utah, Matthew was a Management Consultant with KPMG, working with corporations in change management and growth strategies. Later Matthew received an MBA from Duke University and spent 10 years as a Senior Leader with John Deere.
Throughout his time at Deere, Matthew led various Strategic Planning organizations. This included leading top company executives through strategy development and implementation in Deere’s multi-billion dollar Agriculture and Power Systems Divisions. He has led strategic planning workshops in Asia, Europe, South America and the U.S., developing plans that have formed the basis for many aspects of Deere’s current long-term plans.
From an Operations and Marketing perspective, Matthew had the opportunity to establish and lead Deere’s $140M Asia and Africa Service Parts organization. This included leading Deere’s aftermarket marketing, order fulfillment, and new product development departments, as well as directing Deere’s 5 distribution centers throughout Asia and Africa. Later, Matthew oversaw operations in a billion dollar engine factory.
Matthew enjoys staying active in the community, most recently serving on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement in Iowa and with the Boy Scouts of America.
